The Master Class Academy is in its 11th year of offering unsurpassed quality, small classes, professional instructors, a real theatre stage to perform on, and a nurturing environment where students flourish!

3 & 4 year olds and 5&6 year olds
(M-F, 9:30 am -12:30 pm)
Weeks of June 13, 20 & July 11, 18, 25, August 1
Students will explore the wonder of theatre through creative drama, movement, music and art
in our one-week theatrical camps. Each week will have a different theme including: Knights & Maidens, Beauty & The Beast, Princess Tea Party (girls only), Super Heros (boys only), Aladdin, Little Mermaid and Rapunzel Un-“Tangled”! Students will perform each Friday at 12:15.

Students will study acting, choreography and voice with professional instructors as they prepare to perform scenes, songs and choreography from “School House Rock” in June and “Jack In The Beanstalk” in July!!!!!!

Summer Intensives and Shakespeare!
Introduction to Shakespeare
(Ages 13-18)
Two week session - $200
M-F July 11-15 and 18-22, 1-4 p.m.
A two-week Master Class, for students with little-to-no Shakespeare instruction, to learn, and experience the works of The Bard. Students will glean an overview of the life and times of Shakespeare and their influence on his work, how to use the language, workshop a Shakespearean monologue, and prepare to perform scenes from some of Shakespeare’s most fascinating works, such as Romeo & Juliet, The Tempest, Much Ado About Nothing & A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Performance will be Friday, July 22 at 3:00 p.m.

Ballet Intensive
Ages 8-13,
Saturday, June 11th - 10:00-1:30 - $60
This is a 3 ½ hour intensive class offered to students with basic ballet experience. The younger dancer will work on balance, timing, strength and establish a foundation of proper form. This will prevent injury and establish confidence. To develop creative expression we will also work on improvisational skills. Required attire includes pink or white ballet shoes, pink or white tights, dark blue or black leotard. Boy’s attire: black bike shorts or jazz pants, black ballet shoes or pull on split sole jazz shoe. Bring warm-up clothes, snacks and plenty of water for the breaks. |
Aerial Acrobatic Intensive
Ages 8-14,
Sat., June 23rd – 10:00-1:00 - $70
This is an introduction to the world of aerial acrobatics. After a warm-up you will work on strength exercises, learn necessary safety rules and start working on basic aerial skills. This is a 4 hour intensive class, that allows you to learn new skills in an unfamiliar environment. The last part includes a small routine with music and some dance skills. Required attire includes tight exercise clothes, short sleeved (to elbow) and if needed some soft, elastic knee pads. Bring clothes to stay warm on breaks along with snacks and water. |
Ballet Intensive
Ages 14-up,
Saturday, June 18 – 10:00-2:30 - $70
Ballet is the most demanding type of dance. All other forms of dance benefit from its precise execution of movement and artistic interpretation. It is also a requirement for most auditions in the world of stage work. It provides discipline and flexibility for all directions of “stage art”. This class will help you prepare for ballet auditions, even if you don’t just want to dance. Proper technique, strength, balance and artistic expression is a foundation you should not miss. Required attire includes pink or white ballet shoes; pink, white or beige tights; dark blue or black leotard. Ballet skirts, shorts and dance sweaters are optional. Boy’s attire: black bike shorts or jazz pant, white t-shirts, black ballet shoes or pull on split sole jazz shoe. Bring snacks and water for energy. |
