Darby Ballard

Darby is a native Floridian -- we really do exist!!  She is a local actress who has appeared in dozens of plays, commercials and industrials. She also teaches drama to over 300 students at the prestigious Park Maitland School. She received a BS in Elementary Education/Theatre Specialization from Baylor University.  Darby has been teaching and directing children for nearly a decade. She also is a Resident Company Member of the critically acclaimed Orlando Theatre Project. She recently appeared in The Boys Next Door for the People's Theatre where she played a mentally challenged woman and in Theatre Downtown's production of You Should Be so Lucky where she played an Asian talk show host (talk about versatility!!). She has also worked for several other companies and venues such as the Civic Theatre, Universal Studios and the Orlando International Fringe Festival. Darby was a founding member of the Central Florida Theatre Alliance and served on its board for three years. She was also on the Executive Committee (Vice Chairman and Recording Secretary) of the Lillie Stoates Awards. Darby is thrilled to be a part of the wonderful team at Master Class Academy!!
