Christina Carter is an independent vocal coach with talented and successful vocal students all across the Eastern United States. Since graduating cum laude with a degree in music from the prestigious Belmont University in Nashville, TN, she has been teaching privately to individuals and groups alike, and is currently finishing her Masters of Music education at UCF. She has judged for and worked in conjunction with such recording studios as Crainium Productions and TransContinental, as well as performing with companies such as Beautiful Music, all of Orlando, FL. She frequently adjudicates vocal competitions ranging from local to national caliber. Christina was also the musical choral and orchestral director at a High School in Tennessee for 5 years. Using her 23 years of live and studio vocal experience and education, Christina coaches in various vocal styles encompassing classical, musical theatre, country, pop and jazz. She consistently has students perform successfully in local, state and national competitions. She still coaches various live, studio, musical theatre and recording artists, at least 20 of which are recording and/or performing live in venues ranging from entertaining at major theme parks to performing in the commercial music industry. In addition to teaching, she remains extremely active as a vocal performer, currently performing with the Bach Festival Choir and Bach Festival Chamber Singers of Winter Park, both as a choral member and as a soloist. Her vocal experiences have taken her across the Southern and Eastern United States and abroad to perform in Germany, Austria and London. Since 1985, Christina has been staging, producing and choreographing productions of several venues and has created state and nationally awarded routines. She and her husband have been working together as performers, choreographers and producers for the past 12 years. Christina has an established background in the Miss America Scholarship Program, having held multiple previous titles in the state of Florida. She is currently an active board member and the producer of the Miss Ocala/Miss Silver Springs Pageant. Her prolific background in vocal performance, acting, piano, and dance, as well as her experiences as a past title competitor, all qualify her as a phenomenal talent judge.
